Sara Klimek grew up in Norwich, Connecticut, and now calls Westerly, Rhode Island home, alongside her rescued corgi, Joy, and American Paint Horse, Nash. Her interest in creative media is shaped by a lifelong intersection of passions — food and dining, horses, writing, and photography — all of which continue to inform her work today.She entered the industry at just 17, when her photography was published in Connecticut Magazine’s feature on “The Bridge Out Back.” After a brief pre-law stint at the University of Vermont, she earned her Master’s degree in Agricultural Extension Education from the University of Arkansas (Woo Pig!), blending communication, education, and creative storytelling into a career that bridges editorial and strategy. Sara built her professional foundation writing and editing for digital food and dining, environmental, and equine publications, and later served as content director for a boutique social media marketing agency in Southeastern Connecticut. She eventually launched Sara Klimek Media to bring together what she jokingly calls “the side hustles for her side hustles” — unifying storytelling, strategy, and creative production under one cohesive brand. When she’s not interviewing chefs, testing recipes, or building content systems for clients, you’ll find her at the barn, on the couch with her dog, or lifting weights at the gym.
